HOW YOU CAN CONTRIBUTE AS DIRECTOR OF BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT:

Millie and Severson is looking to fill a Business Development position with a strongly motivated individual who can work in a fast-paced environment in the development and implementation of our business development objectives. This position requires the candidate to have existing experience in Commercial Real Estate. They will be responsible for growing our core business presence in existing market segments as well as developing new market opportunities. The position will report to the Vice President of Business Development/Marketing.

CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITY

· Demonstrate knowledge of, and support the mission, vision, value statements, standards, policies and procedures, operating instructions, confidentiality standards, and the code of ethical behavior.

· Consult, collaborate and implement with the Vice President of Business Development/Marketing the strategic marketing plan.

· Work closely with the Director of Marketing on proposal responses in collaboration with the VP.

· Manage specific corporate programs.

· Assist in planning of any event that highlights corporate services.

BUSINESS DEVLOPMENT

· Build and develop existing and new relationships

· Perform market research and analysis. Identify specific prospects which could become appropriate clients in our various markets.

· Identify and foster new business relationships and enhance existing corporate relationships within a variety of target market segments.

· Relationship building.

· Identification and pursuit of project opportunities.

· Reporting the status and progress of project opportunities as events occur.

· In collaboration with the Business/Marketing Department develop and respond to Request for Proposal responses.

· Completion of pre-qualification documentation.

· Ongoing communications with clients.

· Ability to understand the culture of the company and leverage its market presence in client development

· Ability to manage long-sales cycle with sophisticated clients

· Work in a strong collaborative fashion with additional departments including preconstruction and estimating.

PULSE OF THE INDUSTRY

· Evaluate operational issues to determine whether competitive and staying current with the latest trends in the industry.

· Monitor external and internal environment for development of new market segments.

· Assist in or produce feasibility studies/business plans for new product development.

· Develop marketing campaigns for new products and services.

· Strong understanding of the Commercial Real Estate market and the various market segments we work in

· Proven capability to understand ongoing market dynamics and the economics of commercial real estate.

COMMUNICATION (INTERNAL/EXTERNAL)

· Furnish marketing advice and support to all departments within the organization.

· Assist in developing an evaluation process to gain feedback from existing and prospective clients within each market segment.

· Perform public speaking in response to client interviews, various industry events, public relations, marketing, and development.
